Betty Ford Alpine Gardens is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization and runs on the donations of individuals like you.


The Gardens exist because of donations from people like you – local community members, one-time visitors and people who believe in the importance on public gardens conservation and green space.

Your gift helps cultivate and grow a collection of rare and endangered alpine plants. You are empowering the possibility for seed collection on Mt. Evans for the Smithsonian Global Genome Initiative project. You are bringing to light the important conservation and sustainability message surrounding roots as a hidden support system that supplies our food crops with water and nutrients to over 100,000 visitors.

Introduction of new outdoor interpretation exhibit to transform the Garden experience.

Redesign of front entrance border flower beds.

Publish North American Strategy for Alpine Plant Conservation in partnership with Denver Botanic Gardens – A plan to guide the role of botanic gardens to conserve the alpine flora from impacts such as habitat degradation and climate change.

“Betty’s Market” – an interactive farmer’s market in the Children’s Garden.
