If Your Soul Needs a Hug, Eat Fede’s Panettone.
A note from Federico, the Italian pastry chef, introduced to the Gardens this year by Simone Reatti of La Nonna Ristorante during the kick-off of Chefs in the Gardens. Panettone is a traditional sweet bread invented in 1559 in Milano.
I have been baking panettone for the last 14 years and I can assure you, that mine will be one of the best you ever going to eat, because of my dedication and obsession to it. Made with 70 year old mother yeast and the best ingredients I can source from Italy. Most of the panettone you can buy now is shipped by boat, at least 2 months lead time, mine is airfreight because its shelf life is much shorter ( 3 months compared to 6 months) because of the natural ingredients I use. Try it, it is like drinking a good bottle of wine. Read more about Fede and his panettone here.
Fede will start baking the panettone around the beginning of October. To get ready, we would like to know how many panettone you would like for the holidays. He will bake 2 types of panettone, the traditional one with candy fruits and raisins and the chocolate. Each panettone will cost $65 dollars plus tax.
Federico’s Panettone is the perfect gift for relatives and friends or for those who have a company with employees and want to give them a special and exclusive Christmas gift. For now, delivery is only available to Vail, CO. Shipping may be possible for orders of 6 or more.
Pre-orders due by September 30th. Panettone will arrive in Vail no later than November 15th.
To order, contact Chef Simone Reatti at simone@fedethestarshaper.com. Rest assured that the panettone will be as fresh as it can be and absolutely delicious.
