Volunteer Day to Honor Founder Helen Fritch

Betty Ford Breaking Ground at Betty Ford Alpine GardensHelen Fritch, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens’ founder, inspired the Vail community to build and fund the Gardens starting in 1985. She was famous for her ability to bring the community together and encourage people to join her in the vision of what was possible when we worked together. We celebrate her birthday and her legacy by hosting a Volunteer Day in her honor on Thursday, September 28th from 10am – Noon. (Volunteering not required to join for cake at the Ed Center.)

Meet at the Alpine Toolshed in Betty Ford Alpine Gardens in Vail. No experience required. Fall clean-up and garden cutback.

Cake and refreshments will be served at noon in the Education Center. Join Helen’s daughters, Jeanne Fritch, Nancy Fritch and Leslie Chapman, staff and volunteers in this day of celebration to protect and build the alpine gardens we treasure.
