

Guided Garden Snowshoe Tour
Snowshoe through the scenic trails of Betty Ford Alpine Gardens with a naturalist guide.
Learn about the incredible adaptations of alpine plants and animals, and how you can help protect this fragile ecosystem. Turn your eyes up to the trees and their importance in the mountain ecosystem, inviting you to notice the quiet relationships that keep the forest alive even in the coldest months. Take a peek into Vail’s history. Afterward, warm up in the Education Center and enjoy our Alpine Greenhouse, engaging permanent and rotating exhibit, Habitat.
Snowshoe and pole rentals are included. Tour groups will be limited to 10 people. Advance registration is required to secure your spot. Meet your guide at the Education Center.

In-town bus: Blue East Vail bus to Ford Park or Yellow Golf Course bus to Golden Peak
Tips to prepare for your snowshoe:
- Check the weather report and wear appropriate clothing for the conditions
- Consider wearing base layers, warm socks, waterproof insulated boots, gloves, hat, snow or weatherproof pants
- Bring a water bottle
- Plan where you are going to park or which bus you will take. Allow time to walk to the Education Center in Ford Park.
