Botanical Watercolors

Join local artist and Vail Mountain School art teacher Phoebe Brookes for a Botanical Watercolor Workshop set amidst the vibrant blooms of Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. This session invites artists of all levels to slow down and practice the art of “seeing” as they capture the intricate details, delicate textures, and brilliant colors of our high-altitude flora. Phoebe will guide you through essential watercolor techniques—from color mixing to fine-line detailing—helping you translate the gardens’ botanical diversity onto paper. Surrounded by the tranquility of the Gardens, you’ll leave with a newfound appreciation for alpine plant anatomy and a beautiful, hand-painted keepsake of your time in the gardens. It is a perfect opportunity to blend artistic expression with a deep connection to nature.
