January 11 @ 10:30 am 11:30 am

Snowshoe on a garden trail with a naturalist from Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. While making your way through the Gardens’ winter wonderland, explore the local environment, discover alpine plant and animal adaptations and learn about the history of Vail’s early settlers. Warm up afterward in the Education Center and enjoy our permanent and rotating exhibits. Advance registration required to guarantee your spot.

Tour groups will be limited to 10 people. Masks must be worn inside. All Eagle County health protocols will be followed. Meet your guide at the Education Center.

$10; includes snowshoe and pole rental.

Tips to prepare for your snowshoe:

  • Check the weather report and wear appropriate clothing for the conditions
  • Consider wearing base layers, warm socks, water-proof insulated boots, gloves, hat, snow or weatherproof pants
  • Bring a water bottle
  • Plan where you are going to park or which bus you will take. Allow for time to walk to the Education Center in Ford Park. We suggest using the in-town bus system or parking at the Vail Parking Structure (fees may apply)
