Betty Ford Alpine Gardens is pleased to offer a number of fun, interactive programs to introduce you to the natural world of the gardens and to educate and deepen your connection with nature. We’ll even cook for you!

Take a tour with a knowledgeable docent and learn more about the gardens, the plants within it and the history. Allow about 45 mins to 1 hour. Pick up a ticket at the Schoolhouse and meet at the main entry gate. Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10:30 am Offered Memorial Day through Labor Day NO TOUR ON JULY 4th

Join our Garden yogi’s for a flowing yoga practice set in nature’s studio! The sounds of birds and waterfalls fill the air as you engage in a practice that invites more health and happiness into your life, pose by pose and breath by breath. Seasoned yogis and complete beginners alike will find benefit in this unique experience of communing with nature through yoga. Mats available. Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 9:00-10:15 am and offered Mid June through September.

 $15 per person (CASH ONLY). Class space is first come first serve. No reservation required.

Live cooking demonstrations from local chefs from area restaurants, share culinary tips and recipes. Check out the website for the updated list of Chefs. Thursdays at noon July 5th-August 9th.  $10 per person

Plein Air Painting in the Gardens with Cheryl St. John

Workshop Times: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a one hour lunch break in the garden, be sure to bring a sack lunch!

Enjoy a day of plein air painting beautiful alpine flowers at the Betty Ford Gardens! The class will concentrate on composition, color mixing, brush work and having fun while learning! There are no shortages of colorful compositions in the garden, so finding something to paint is not a problem! Cheryl has tips and tricks to work with the changing light and complete at least one painting if not two! You can use the medium of your choice as the fundamentals of painting work for all media. Cheryl will be demonstrating at the beginning of the day and will offer one on one instruction to each student for the remainder of the day.
