    Children’s Drop In Program @ Program
    Jul 3 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

    Children’s activities are offered Monday -Thursday, 10-12 pm from mid-June through mid-August. Programs are intended for children ages 5 to 10 years old. Hands on crafts and guided activities teach children about various aspects of the natural world. Classes are drop in (no reservation necessary) and are located in the Children’s Garden amphitheater. A $5 donation is suggested.

    Take a tour with a knowledgeable docent and learn more about the gardens, the plants within it and the history. Allow about 45 mins to 1 hour.
    Pick up a ticket at the Schoolhouse and meet at the main entry gate.

    Jon Sheppard Photography Workshop @ Gardens
    Jul 9 @ 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

    Award winning photographer John Sheppard conducts photography workshops on Wednesdays, June 25, July 9 and 23, August 6 and 20 from 3:00-5:00 pm. The workshops teach about the use of light, composition, exposure, and framing. Dave Stevens, a photography workshop student from Sun Lakes Arizona remarked “I learned much more than I expected about outdoor photography. John explained about using depth-of-field to enhance scenery photos, shutter speed to enhance water effects and more.” Participants are asked to bring a camera and tripod.
