Vail's lovely botanic garden is named for Betty
Ford in appreciation of her many contributions to the Vail
Valley.
"When we first talked of plans for the alpine garden,
I never dreamed it would grow and flourish to such a degree.
But as each season brings new blooms and greater beauty to
the different gardens, they become a source of infinite pride
and pleasure for all of us."
